"Uncle DanDan Plane!"

Feeding turtles, painting cars, and seeing planes...busy week!

My utmost gratitude to Tulsa Air Space Museum!!  They made a little girl very happy today.  For a year she has waited and asked and tried to get inside the MD80 plane exhibit.  Today we went to TASM thinking we'd be able to get in and see the exhibit...wrong...still not open to the public.  When we told her "not yet" once again she just looked at them and sadly said "okay".  We asked if there was anyway that she could just "look inside?" because she wanted to see her "Uncle DanDan's plane".   Not only did they let her look inside, they took us into the exhibit on a private tour.  She was so thrilled!  Thank you TASM, Josh (our volunteer guide) and all the staff for making Bella's visit today so very special for her.
"Grammy!! Bellya  way high!!"  Getting to board the MD80 Exhibit today made her very happy!

Salsa

Great Strides 2014 was a huge success!  Bella's Brigade raised $14,593.00!! And donations are still coming in!! So very proud of everyone that supported our efforts to find a cure for CF!!

Bella and I added fish to the pond this week. She had to check on them several times to be sure they were okay!  Her little garden is growing and her tomatoes are just starting to turn red.  She can't wait...after all she is growing "salsa" !  LOL!  She has been enjoying her strawberries, although the tortoise has been enjoying them as well!!

We made popsicles this week out of Cran-Pomegranate juice and also some out of her chocolate Pediasure!  I would set the timer for 60 minutes and when it would go off she would run to the freezer and wait for me to check on them. She couldn't wait to try them!

I can't believe that she is going to be 3 soon.  She has grown up so fast!  She is a chatterbox!!  She had to explain to everyone about squirrels  knocking all the bird seed out of her bird feeder and that she saw a turtle on her porch. I love it when I take her  home..she walks in and hollers "Hi, Daddy!  Hi, Mommy!  I home!!" (And  if you don't want something repeated it's best not to say some things around her!!) She is such a joy to be around.
Just having lunch and planning our afternoon!

Mother's Day

Bella and I finished up her Mother's Day gifts for Mommy and her MeMe!  She's all set to give them now! She is very excited about her projects!

Her Great Strides t-shirts came in and we have them ready to hand out or mailing tomorrow! Can't believe the walk is in a week!  We've raised almost $12K this year.

Today we were playing and I sat and watched Bella...she had three of her dolls and had them all carrying on conversations with each other..she had them acting out various little scenarios that she made up...she has quite an imagination!!  It was rainy today, windy yesterday so we stayed inside both days. We played with the bubble machine inside...that little sucker puts out the bubbles!

She is so much fun to be around. She certainly has a crush on Captain America!! We watched the "Avengers" today...she hid her eyes at parts that she knew might be too violent for her...but when the Captain appeared on the screen she would smile and get very excited!  She even tilted her head and sighed when he was on screen!  She had me take his picture...and Thor's!  She has good taste!! LOL!
"I  love it!"  She seemed to really like her new dress and hairdo!

"Capan Amerka!"

Bella is very into "Captain America" right now!  Everything is all about "Capan Amerka!!"  It's really cute.  She and I went to see the movie Wednesday.  Bella had already seen it so she was explaining it to me as it went along!  She also had to take her "Captain America Shield" to the show.

Clinic appointment today.  We have been practicing a couple of things knowing this appointment was coming up.  Getting a throat culture is not a pleasant experience for her...normally she has to be pinned down by Mommy and Daddy while the nurse tries to stick the swab down her throat.  So she and I have practiced sticking out her tongue and saying "ah" to make it quicker and easier.  We also have been practicing breathing onto a pinwheel to get her ready for a lung function test in the future.  Today at her appointment she did amazing...the throat culture was quick and over within a couple seconds...she sat on my lap and did just like we had practiced!  Then she showed Dr. Walter how she could really get the pinwheel spinning!  Her weight is up, she has grown over an inch, lungs are clear, oxygen level back up to 98, vitamin levels are great and we get to stop her Vitamin D supplement...we all were so excited and so very pleased.  Despite a stuffy allergy nose she received rave reviews from everyone.  Keeping her healthy is our goal and getting such wonderful Clinic results makes us so very happy!
Love you little munchkin!!
"Too loud, Grammy!"  She really doesn't like the loud theater preview!

Sweet potato snacks for my little sweet potato!
