Baby Rose

This has been a very productive week for Bella. Monday potty training began and she has done very well. Also this week she got to play with a new friend...baby Rose. Rose is just 8 weeks old and is the granddaughter of my sweet friend, Shelly, and Bella has fallen in love with her! She got to hold her and talk to her and help her hold her binky. She thinks Rose is pretty special! Bella brought over Blue Bear and her green paper from her Clinic appointment to share with Rose! She talked about her all afternoon! Bella says she is a big sister now! Thank you Hannah for sharing your precious baby with her!

This week Bella also had a Clinic appointment. She did so good. Her blood oxygen is at 97%, she is now 36 inches tall and her weight is still 31.46 lbs.  They took blood (she didn't shed a tear!) to test her vitamin levels to be sure she is still absorbing vitamins properly. We should get the results in a few days.  Sputum cultures are never fun to obtain, so a little tag team worked to get what they needed.  Bella got a "green" sheet (which means a great exam) from the doctor. She had to "read" it to us all in her doctor voice. Bella was given "Blue Bear" for being good.  She never ceases to amaze me. She blew kisses to all the nurses, techs, and Dr. Walters. Such a sweetheart.

Checking out a couple new books!

For some reason she decided to scratch my head!

Flu Bug Gross!

This was going to be an aquarium week...but the flu is going around big time and we didn't want to take a chance with The Precious so we found lots of other fun things to do inside instead.

"Get warm outside, Bellya see fesh and shark!" (making her "fish" sign).
(That's right Baby Girl. We just have to wait until the flu bug is gone. We don't want you getting sick.)
"Fu bug!  Bugs yuck! Fu bug gross! Bellya step on it!!"
(I didn't even try to explain. I figured she was close enough! LOL!)

"Bellya gobble up Grammy!"

"Wuvs you Grammy!"  (Love you, too, Baby Girl!)

"Bellya hippie, Grammy!"

Conversations with a Two Year Old

What an interesting day.. Despite her very stuffy nose, Bella was in a very talkative mood today! It started before we left her house...she went into a lengthy conversation about the back door in typical Bella style! Here is a sample of a few of our other conversations.

Doing her vest treatment this morning:
"Grammy, Bellya sorry be mean."
("When were you mean?")
"Shakabootie vest make Bellya mean."
("I think what it is is frustration Baby Girl. You get frustrated having to do it.")
"Rustated"
("Yep..makes you want to yell and stuff.")
"Bellya rustated Grammy. Bellya sorry. Bellya Wuvs you Grammy"
("I love you, too, BellaBeans")
(Followed by a hug and kiss..okay..melted my heart!)

Seeing the comic strip picture of her Mommy and me (Bitstrip Comic) fighting zombies:
"GRAMMY! Grammy Mommy shoot zombie!"
("Yep. We are pretty good!")
"Dat's good Grammy!"

Following a text from Danny saying he couldn't to Facetime because he was filming. I heard her Minnie Mouse suitcase being unzipped and re-zipped:
("What are you doing Baby Girl?")
"Bellya go bacation. Go ah-pane. Go way high. See Uncle DanDan!!"
("Okay. Have a nice trip!")  As she walked off pulling her suitcase.
"Bye Grammy. Wuvs you. Bellya go. See yater!"
(Walks around the room and comes back into kitchen and gave her her lunch.)
("Back so soon? How was your trip?")
"Good! Uncle DanDan say hi!"

Watching "Brave" for the first time in a long time:
("Hey, Bella...did you know that you used to cry at the end of this movie when you were little?")
"Why Bellya cry?"
("Don't know...we could never figure that out! But I have a video that I can show you.")
"Oh ka ka!"
(Showed her the video)
"Bellya cry!! Why Bellya cry Grammy?"
("Don't know honey")
"Dat sad. Poor Bellya!"

Looking at "Beauty and the Beast" book:
"Beast choke Gaston. Beast mean!"
("But so is Gaston! Gaston tried to hurt the Beast. The Beast lets him go remember?")
"Beast choke Gaston hard. Gaston fall down go boom! Beast MEAN!"
("True but look here (turned back a page)..Gaston shot Beast with an arrow first! And after he lets him go Gaston stabs him!!")
"Dat not nice. Gaston mean!!"

Looking at old pictures of Tony and me when we were younger:
"Grammy long hair"
("Yep..my hair was pretty long back then")
"Papa hair long!  Papa hippie!!"

About Papa and his phone:
"Papa on phone. Talk Bwryan."
("Do you know who Bryan is?"
"Bwryan Daddy!"
("That's right. Do you know what Papa's name is?"
"Papa hippie!"

She explained how to take pictures with my camera, and then posed for me to "do Bellya show you Grammy!"..we hid behind the couch from zombies so I could "shoot wiff cama (camera) Grammy"... so many things going on in her little head today.
"Wuvs you, Grammy!"

And so the day went...all day..long conversations..lots of hugs and kisses and "wuvs you, Grammy".  Love you, too, Baby Girl!
Back from her "bacation to see Uncle DanDan"

Hiding from zombies!  LOL
