Merry Christmas!

Christmas is almost here.  I think we are about as ready as we will ever be! It's going to be fun watching Bella's reactions to things this year! 

Today she and I went shopping with Danny and she spent the remainder of the day chasing zombies around the house with him! I really need to figure out where they all keep coming from! LOL!  She has been glued to her "Uncle DanDan"... she loves him so much!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! We had a wonderful family Christmas. Lot's of laughter and fun. I am truly blessed with the most amazing family. I love you guys so much!  Bella loved her presents and dancing around in her Christmas pj's!

Counting Down!

It's hard to believe that Christmas is next Thursday!  This year is coming to an end very quickly!!

Danny will be home on Monday!  Bella is very excited! (Me, too!!)  She has talked about "Uncle DanDan" coming for Christmas since I booked his flights!  She wants to go to the airport to pick him up.
I think she and I will be making a big batch of chocolate chip cookies this weekend for him!

Therapy was done on our bed today while we watched "Brave", followed by a bed-picnic!  Having a bit of a tummy issue again so she wanted me to rub her tummy. She snuggled up next to me after lunch and nodded off to sleep.  It is perfect snuggle weather!

Mystery Mornings!

I never know who I am picking up when I go get Bella!

     One morning she will be "Tom-a Petty", or "Peter Parker", or "Spiderman", or "Cinderella", or "Maleficent".  Sometimes she is "Batman", "Captain America", "Rick or Daryl"..of course there are some days that she is all of them and more!  Needless to say my role changes from being Grammy depending upon whom she chooses to be! On "Tom-a Petty" day I am the "girl singer"...so I get to sing back-up to her renditions of  various "Tom-a Petty" songs!  "Frozen" days I am only allowed to sing Anna roles since she is Elsa.

I have learned to be an action hero's best friend, a zombie's worst nightmare, a Momma bear, a Princess's Prince Charming, and many more and I am loving it!  LOL!!  Life is never dull around our Precious!

Today was shopping at the Mall day with Cinderella!  She wanted Papa to come along today and he gladly agreed. We went in search of Cinderella glass slippers in the Disney Store and we wanted to build a bear and puppy at Build A Bear!   Dressed in full Cinderella attire we wandered through the Mall.  She received so many compliments on her princess dress. (Of course she had to wear her mask due to crowds and cold/flu season. Wearing her full length gloves worked great at keeping her hands germ free, too!)  We had a great time and we had a very successful shopping spree!  Paula the Puppy and Elsa Bear are now family members and slippers were found!!

She ended her shopping day on the carousel riding a horse called 'Princess'.

It's really looking like Christmas!

Gingerbread houses, sugar cookies, wrapping presents...and that was just today!  Bella is getting so excited about Christmas! Her present for her Daddy arrived today. To quote Bella..."Daddy will be 'cited!!! He will be so silly and act like a knucklehead!".  LOL!  (Thank you Papa for teaching her that word!)  Bella loves Christmas lights on houses so we drove around the neighborhood tonight. Tomorrow we will try to find some additional houses to view.  She has started her December calendar countdown to Uncle DanDan's arrival!

 It is so hard to believe that 2014 is quickly coming to an end!  Where has the year gone??? I also can't believe that I have actually made the commitment to post a weekly blog and picture and have been doing it for two years!

Traditions!

Sometimes decorating (or just eating the frosting!) can be so much fun!

Bella and I have a pre-Thanksgiving tradition ... we spend the day before Thanksgiving baking pies, cookies, and cupcakes.  I have loved watching her gain more and more confidence as she rolls out dough, chops the apples and decorates the cookies.  She is such a joy!

Watching Her Sleep

As I sit here and look at Bella as she sleeps all I can think is what a sweet, innocent baby she is. I worry about all the turmoil in the World, all the strife, all the hate, all the idiots...and I want it all to stay the heck away from her!!!   She only knows "bad guys" from movies and they are "pretend". Wouldn't it be a wonderful World if that was true.

It's been a short week with Bella...but we had fun!  She added a few more decorations around the house and on the trees.   We put together a little gift for Meme's birthday next week and compiled some pictures for special Christmas presents for Mommy/Daddy, Meme/Pappy and of course for us!  She is very excited about seeing houses with Christmas lights so we will have to make an evening of it one night next week! Next week is Thanksgiving and our little tradition is to bake pies and goodies the day before..I can't wait!!  We also have a date coming up in December that she is VERY excited about...It's marked on her special calendar so she can count down the days...December 22nd...Uncle DanDan comes home for the holidays!!

 Thank goodness her H-Flu diagnosis hasn't bothered her...hopefully it will stay that way.

I set the camera's timer for her and Bella pushed the button and ran over  for the picture. She did great!

Mommy is on vacation...she is enjoying her much deserved time away from work and enjoying her very special time with Bella. However..that means that Bella isn't with me this week...I am having "Bella withdrawals!"  I will have to stop in and get a hug to carry me through the week and weekend! (We are going out of town Friday!)

Today Bella has her Clinic appointment.  I have a feeling they are going to be very happy with her growth!  Can't wait to hear the report! (BTW...her clinic report was AWESOME!!! Up in weight and height!!!)
